I am one of those women that had a dad who didn’t have sons and LOVED football, so he sat my sisters and me down to watch the games with him. Being young and curious, we asked lots of questions and learned how the game was played.
We all grew up loving football too! My younger sister is a Bengals fan, middle sister a 49er fan, and I am a Broncos fan, creating competition between our family and more excitement when watching the games!
Sports fans are hungry to watch and attend games with their favorite teams playing! With the Coronavirus, it might be a new reality of having to live without football this fall.
It could be just the players without fans until we get past this virus, so I would be open to watching them on TV until they can bring back the fans safely. How about you?
My son wanted to see the Lakers win a championship with LeBron James, see his Oakland A’s get back in the World Series again. My husband and I are Dodger fans and want to see them possibly win a World Series again. Time will tell if any of these games transpire and life gets back to some kind of “normalcy”!
We have all had to make sacrifices during this pandemic, so hopefully, they can come up with a smart well-thought-out plan where the virus won’t spike out of control again.
Sports are a way for people to relax and gather with friends and family and have fun! Win or lose, it is fun to watch a good competitive game. We all need recreation to alleviate the stress from working and to socialize.
When my kids were growing up, they started off with T-ball, baseball, soccer, wrestling, and football from middle school through high school. My younger son’s team won the first championship for their school in his senior year.
They bonded with teammates and we bonded with other parents. I think sports build character in our kids. My younger son is now an avid Green Bay fan and my older one is a Raider’s fan.
Here is a link to one of my first posts I wrote when I first started blogging, which was very popular. Hope you enjoy it! Are You A Football Fan?
“Football is like life – it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication, and respect for authority.”
― Vince Lombardi
In Closing…
The pro teams are working together to help support this country during this pandemic, by doing fundraisers, donating money where it is needed, donating masks, helping organizations, and more. These guys are giving their time and money to get us all through this. Thank you for your generosity!
The league is estimating that an on-time start to the season is possible… even probable. It is mentioned possibly playing in front of fans but depends on what the virus is doing then. The 2020 schedule has been released, but they don’t know if games will actually be played yet.
Are we ready for some football in a“new norm? Are you willing to watch it without fans? Remember we are in this together, so let’s make the best of the situation!!

Football season is my favorite time of year and I have been following closely how they are handling the situation. I will definitely be watching as a virtual fan – as I always do. Maybe this will give some time to really appreciate the game without all the noise!
Thank you for your feedback, Jen! So nice to know you are also a football fan and I hope the NFL gets all this worked out by fall so fans can watch the games in a way they feel safe.
